Storyboard and animation + supporting assets: Ellie Fleming
I was commissioned by Ipsos to storyboard and animate the 2025 National Student Survey campaign. The branding was developed by Ella, this time with a fresh, vibrant visual identity. I was then brought on to shape the animation, building a storyboard that aligned closely with the new look and feel.
The updated branding has a dynamic, playful energy, particularly through the bold use of the Anchor typeface. I wanted the animation to reflect that tone, so I introduced a bouncy, expressive motion style that complemented the typography-led sections.
Sourcing strong, relatable footage was key to keeping the animation grounded while still embracing the upbeat direction. The final result struck a balance between playful and purposeful, something that felt engaging while still carrying weight. It was also great to adapt the visuals across social snippets, posters, and a range of digital banners, bringing the campaign to life in multiple formats. All final outputs were also completed in Welsh.

During 2025 I worked with Ellie Fleming on 3 major projects. The second and third of these were both challenging briefs on very tight deadlines. Throughout these projects – and all the other projects I have worked on with Ellie over the last 8 years – she has been simple superb and sensational.
Ellie’s work is always brilliant and hits the brief perfectly. But beyond this, her relationship with her clients is as good as it gets. Ellie’s communication, interrogation of the brief, suggestions, solutions, positivity and personality make her a fantastic person to work with.
Ellie is one of those pople who bring such reassurance to a project. Whenever we do get to work together I love it because I know from the word go the project is in the best possible hands and I can relax with complete reassurance that the final output will be fantastic.
